Following the highly successful SOTM Latam 2025 in Medellin, Colombia, we are pleased to officially announce that, as agreed upon in the plenary session at SOTM Latam 2025, following the submission of the respective proposal, the next edition of the State of the Map Latam for 2026 will be held in Mexico City, Mexico.

This will be the first time this event will be held in this city and country, and it already has the support of the large, vibrant, and motivated Mexican OpenStreetMap community.

We take advantage of this official announcement to invite you to follow us on our social media and be aware of our official website to keep up with the event’s progress, apply for talks or workshops, and, if you’d like, support us in organizing and preparing for the event. We’ll be announcing the corresponding calls for applications on this blog.

Together, we can make SOTM LATAM 2026 in Mexico an unforgettable event that positions the Latin American OpenStreetMap community globally.
